一、本館英文學刊《亞洲藝術與美學》(The Journal of Asian Arts & Aesthetics)秉持深化臺灣及亞洲藝術史研究的精神，關注亞洲藝術與美學之創舉，積極接軌國際思潮並拓展國際文化藝術的論述場域。
二、本期專題為「向死而生—從死亡的圖像重新思索生命」(Reconsidering Life through Images of Death)，
子題包含：
(一)風景畫與靜物畫中的生命／死亡（Life/death in the representation of nature, as in landscape and still life paintings）
(二)哲學與宗教中的生命／死亡（例如：不朽、救贖、天堂、淨土與地獄）Life/death in philosophy and religion (e.g., immortality, salvation, paradise, Pure Land, hell)
(三)生命／死亡的美學探索（Life/death in the aesthetics of transience）
(四)生命／死亡之於身體表現的探討（包含身體、性別與權力的相關主題）Life/death in bodily expression (including themes of gender and the body, power and the body)
(五)人類世中的生命／死亡（Life/death in the Anthropocene）
