「小胖子—鄭崇孝創作個展」

「我想以嘟嘴男孩代替人類，完成一些人類需要的夢想。」  —鄭崇孝

       這次個展展出鄭崇孝2015 -2021年的作品，除早期對氣候變遷、科技文明的時代反思，以及藝術史名作範式挪用系列，主要展出《西元3000年》、《兔子洞》約五十餘件2021年新作，空間內多件《嘟嘟羅漢》、《哈嘍早安》的裝置，也表達了藝術家對自身創作與空間的思考。

       如何參與歷史敘事成為「在場」的證明，是鄭崇孝創作的核心之一。作品裡「嘟嘴男孩」現身在不同的場景，其創作成為時間的載體，穿越了肉身無法觸及的邊界。圖像一直是建構起一個時代，一個文化緊密關係的場景，在展出作品中，我們看到了藝術家的迸發的經驗與想像，經由「嘟嘴男孩」圖像替身的參與，置換、質變了不同時代的場景與原始文本意義，成為和世界對話的新關係，此種基於歷史文本所發展的對話，所談的不僅是現實，更是夢想的溢流，浸潤了每位觀眾。

        執迷於以繪畫表達自己對生活以及對世界和諧想像的鄭崇孝，內心期待屬於我們時代烏托邦的現身，他的創作裡從來不是以挑戰、衝擊和抗拒的形式來處理作品與觀眾的關係，更傾向以和諧穩定的視覺處理，適當添加卡漫裡的遊戲性與令人莞爾的詼諧感，使得作品中所有敘事溫和的對外開放，在所有元素作用下，自然地彌補了文字、歷史、圖像之間的斷裂。

        今年的展出，將邀請我們進入藝術家所構建的每一個歷史敘事中，「嘟嘴男孩」可以是藝術家自己，也可以是我們每一個人的分身。當我們企盼COVID-19疫情危機早日解除，黎明到來的當下，不要忘記夢想早已揹馱著我們，往希望之地前進。

Little Fat Boy—Chong-xiao Zheng Solo Exhibition

"I want to replace humans with pout boys and fulfill some of the dreams that humans need." —Zheng Chong xiao

         This solo exhibition exhibits Zheng Chong xiao' s works from 2015 to 2021, in addition to the early reflections on climate change, scientific and technological civilization, and the paradigm appropriation series of art history masterpieces, mainly exhibiting more than 30 new works of 2021 such as "3000 AD", "Unicorn Paradise" and "Rabbit Hole", and many installations of "Toot Toot Luo Han Gao" and "Good Morning Ha Cho" in the space, which also express the artist's thinking on his own creation and space.

        How to participate in the historical narrative became a proof of "presence" is one of the cores of Zheng Chong xiao' s creation. In the work, the "Pout Boy "appears in different scenes, and his creation becomes a carrier of time, crossing the boundaries that the flesh cannot reach.

        The image has always been a scene of constructing an era, a close relationship between culture, in the works on display, we see the artist's burst of experience and imagination, through the participation of the "Pout Boy" image stand-in, replacing and qualitatively changing the scenes of different eras and the meaning of the original text, becoming a new relationship with the world dialogue, this dialogue based on the development of historical texts, talking about not only reality, but also the overflow of dreams, infiltrating every audience.

        Obsessed with painting to express his own life and the harmonious imagination of the world, Zheng Chong xiao, who looks forward to the appearance of the utopia of our time, has never been in the form of challenge, impact and resistance to deal with the relationship between the work and the audience, but also tends to use harmonious and stable visual processing, appropriately adding the gameplay and humorous sense of Ka Manli, so that all the narratives in the work are gentle and open to the outside world, and under the action of all elements, it naturally makes up for the rupture between words, history and images.

        This year's exhibition will invite us to enter in to every historical narrative constructed by the artist, and the "Pout Boy" can be either the artist himself or a doppelganger of each of us. As we look forward to the early lifting of the COVID-19 crisis and the dawn of the moment, don't forget that dreams have already driven us to the land of hope.
